Dramatic Skillz

According to my parents, I was a prolific fake crier as a kid. My mom referred to my performances as "Ricky Schroder tears" after the actor on the TV show "Silver Spoons." Well, the other night, we caught Isadora doing a fairly lifelike imitation cry, and I asked her to repeat the performance for the camera.

Frankly, I don't think she's doing herself any favors here. Seeing how she can work up a cry from scratch just makes it that much less affecting when it's supposedly real. But it's still fun to watch. I love how she lifts the veil right at the very end.

Something about the striped shirt and the hair and the coloring of this picture makes me think of a video for some grunge rock band, mid-1990s.

Snow!

We got our first few inches of snow a few weeks ago. Thanks to global warming, it's already almost gone. But I captured a few pictures and this sledding video while it lasted. Who knows, maybe this will be the last time Izza ever sees snow.

Izza's Tea Party

This video is primarily for Izza's grandparents, who gave her this tea set for Christmas. Note how, in her anticipation of playing with this, she can barely be bothered to even feel pain when she drops a snow globe on her foot.
