Sibling Relations

This is a good portrait of Izza and Arlo from about a month ago, before Arlo could talk or walk (you may notice Izza's indirect reference to Arlo's inability to walk).

I think my favorite part of this video is the look on Arlo's face right at the end, after his mini-tantrum, when he seems to suddenly resign himself to the life he has to look forward to as Izza's younger brother.

Izza the Budding Filmmaker

This one pretty much speaks for itself. I think it's clear she's influenced by Warhol in her choice of subject matter.

Seeing Auntie Laurie in the Parade

This is a video about how much parents build up their kids' expectations for things, and the kids are rarely as excited as we expect them to be. Izza and I and her Aunt Sara and her cousins Naomi and Eliot took a train to something called the Hollidazzle Parade, which is a night parade in downtown Minneapolis, full of lights, in the middle of winter. We went, in part, to see Izza's aunt Laurie who snagged a job as a snowflake in the parade. Izza seems genuinely excited about the whole thing, but I love her reaction when she finally gets to the big event. I have attempted to insert subtitles to make it clear what she's saying. I hope they're not too small to read.
